ABOUT ME

Broadcasting has become a major focal point of my life, but there is much more to know about me than just calling the best sights and sounds from a game. First of all, I take great pride in my Italian heritage. I visited Italy during my senior year of high school. We stayed in Florence and traveled to Rome and Venice. It was arguably the greatest trip of my life. The food and sights were amazing; I have yet to eat a lasagna that compares to the lasagna I ate in Italy. I completed an Italian minor at Syracuse University in order to keep my language skills. I love to speak Italian with anyone who can understand, and I hope to return to Italy again as soon as possible.

A big part of my Italian culture revolves around my family, and I have very strong family values. I am very thankful for my parents, Peter and Tara, for I would not be the man I am today without them. I have a younger sister, Natalie, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. I am fortunate to have had a close relationship with my grandparents as well, especially my grandfather who was witty and energetic until the day he passed at 95 years old. Holidays are some of my favorite days of the year; yes, because of the food and the occasional gift, but more so because it means time spent with family. With everybody growing up, there are fewer opportunities than in the past to gather everybody together. Holidays give us the chance to socialize and spend time together.

Sticking with the theme of Italian heritage, I enjoy cooking when the time permits. Pizza, pasta with homemade sauce, sausage and peppers, roasted potatoes, slow-cooked meats, chicken cutlets, eggplant parm, chicken stir fry, omelettes, salmon, and chicken cacciatore are some of my favorite dishes to prepare.

One of my favorite traditions with my family is our annual summer vacation. Some families go somewhere tropical to enjoy the beach, but my family visits a different city every year. This has taken us all around the country. We coordinate each city with a different MLB stadium as well. So far, I have been to 15 different team's ballparks: Braves, Orioles, Red Sox, Cubs, White Sox, Reds, Guardians, Mets (both Shea and Citi), Yankees, Phillies, Pirates, Padres, Cardinals, Rays, and Nationals.

I attended Syracuse for four years and made friends that will last a lifetime. I like to use my SU story as a source of inspiration: I was originally denied from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and waitlisted at the College of Arts and Sciences. I was not admitted into Syracuse until after the admission's deadline. I had to transfer into the journalism program after my freshman year, yet I caught up with all of my required courses and still worked my way into on-air roles with WAER, WJPZ, and ACC Network Extra. Within the Newhouse School, I graduated with the best GPA among male graduates. If you have a goal, stick with it, even if it your journey does not start off as well as you had hoped.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach. I have been going to Maine every summer with friends for as long as I can remember. I was a three-sport varsity athlete at Milford High School in baseball, soccer, and track and field. I also enjoy playing basketball, golf, ice hockey, and volleyball just to name a few. I love country music, but my music preferences also include rap, hip-hop, rock 'n roll, and oldies (yes, I know Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin). Christmas music starts December 1st. I am a spoiled Boston sports fan, but I lack the thick Boston accent.
